Hi, great site, please keep it going.

I have a never seen one like it, 2002 USA Deluxe, special edition. Metalic grey sparkle body with stainless steel pickguard. 3 chrome lipstick pick ups and a C-shaped maple neck with a fabulous ebony fingerboard. Fantastic action and a joy to play and look at. A real eye catcher. I have traced its history back to 2004 when it was sold by East Coast Music Mal in Kings Lynn, England to the guy I bought it from, but so far unable to find where this Strat lived for its first 2 years. Started life in Corona USA in 2002 Serial No DZ2038531. Fasinated to find out who commissioned this rare Strat to be made. Any help much appreciated.

My strat plus is from -91 with rosewood fretboard and
Fire Storm finish.

Thanks for the fast reply,I just wanted to date or just make sure this a japan body.I know the neck is japan ,the first thing I did when I got the guitar was look at the neck, the neck has AUG 97 ST-54 DEX 2 and there is a green dot from a marker. All the body had was ST-62 D, now the 6 was smuged so it could have been a 5,6,8.I dont know if they used the same body for the 54,57&62 but I would like to find out because I want to give this to my son someday!I would like to give him the real thing because I'm hoping the MIJ CIJ will go up in value.Is there a way to make sure this a japan body or could it be just a squier.I took of the pickgard and the body only has 8 holes and I know the 54 & 57 had 8 holes.The pots were 250's but they were very small about the size of a nickel.If you can help that would be great.Thank you for your time.Keith

Hello,I was hopeing some one can help me.I just got a 1997 CIJ,54 RI strat.I used to have a 68 RI but bought that brand new.My ? is is there a way I date the body,I know the neck is true but the stamps on the body where smugged.I had to sell the 68 years ago and don't remember plastic clear coat being this thick. Thanks :!thinking:

Hey Jeff, great site. I have owned several strats and strat plus guitars from 1987-1989 all are very fine instruments. I currently own and play a beautiful sunburst
american standard deluxe stratocaster the one with the original lace sensors and regular Fender tuners and nut. What a guitar. I'm still looking for more I love them.

I am really enjoying your web site, mostly because I too am a guitar nut, but I don't have or never have had, or probably never will have the extensive collection that you have. The Fender Stratocaster is my favorite also. My two favorites at the moment, are a couple of 1996 50th ann. Lonestar Strats, a Teal Green Metallic, and a shoreline gold, and both with very nice rosewood boards. I also have a 2003 MIM '69 Tele thinline RI, that I absolutely love. What I don't have yet is an Ultra, and I want one bad!! There is one on Ebay right now, a beautiful Blue Burst, but the pickups are changed, and he wants too much. But I'll keep looking, I'm sure I'll find the one I want at the price I want eventually. BTW, if you happen to have an Ultra in Blue Burst, shoot me a price, maybe we can do a little business. Thank you very, very much for this site though Xhefri, it has a wealth of information for Stratophiles such as myself. "Rock on Bro" Christopher M. :!cool:

For Strat Plus lovers -- and I am one (96 Serf Green/Sonic Blue -- hard to tell) -- this is an essential site. But for strat enthusiasists in general this site will enlighten. The most important thing about this site is the wealth of information given freely and with passion by Xhefri. I would love to own one of his guitars one of these days, but just as important, thanks Xhefri for taking the time, making the effort to help us understand the Strat Plus.
