Hi,
I love your site. Great information.
I have a 1996 50th Anniversary Strat Plus Ultra.
It slept in the closet for many years, but brought her out a few years ago. I do not gig, only home use so she is in great condidtion.

So to my question, about 3 months ago I read that locking the trem would provide a better sound as the trem would be against the guitar body, not floating.
So I had tech lock it down.

But I think that the guitar lost some of it's peronality.

I am ready to bring it back to the tech, do you have an opinion on this mod?

Also have you ever replaced the sensor pickups with others, if so which?

First of all thanks for your site. Fender serial numbers can be confusing at times. I have a Fender bass VI, serial JD 120246597. I've checked a lot of sites but there seems to be no info on these Japanese basses. I've been told it's a re-issue 1962, not a Garage bass Fender put out. any info would be helpful. THX. Jim McRae.
