What a fantastic website. I have played guitar for over 40 years and to be honest was always a Gibson man until I saw this site. I now have a Strat Plus and am in the process of buying another. I have often wondered though did Fender ever produce a left hand version of the Plus? I am not a lefty myself but have a mate who is. I have never seen one for sale on the used market.

Hi there
I have purchased what appears to be a genuine 1994 Fender strat ultra in firestorm red..I purchased it after reading all about the fakes and how to spot them on your website, all seems to be genuine. The body has not been refinished, has ultra written in the neck cavity with a name R Lara stamped there and a date that appears to be 199? The neck is dated Decemeber 12th 1994. The guitar is serial numbered N4184789 and is in super condition. The guitar was sold to me by the original owner, it was dirty when bought, so needed a clean and has the original purchase receipt that states it is a firestorm red ultra and was bought from Tempo Music in Bristol in feb 1995. I can supply photos to you if that is any good? I can only assume that there may have been a couple of bodies hanging around at Fender and they made a strat ultra out of it.

The Strat Plus I purchased here was a three tone 1990. It is a beautiful guitar. It is somehow a special blend of colors, not like the regular 3 tone Fender. I have to look very closely to find a flaw, and they are subtle enough to be factory flaws. Sounds and plays distinctively. Blue neck, Silver middle and Red bridge lace pickups. I am very happy I purchased it. :o

The guitars are great but I have a nameless stratocaster that looks almost like one of yours ...is it?

I love your Strat plus page. I have an original '88 Strat Plus in Dusty Rose. I know it's original b/c I was 14 when I got it six mos old in Atlanta, GA growing up and it's been my number one guitar the past 25+ years. I'd love to get you pics of the whole shebang as I've gigged it and used it since it was "new". Feel free to email me if so inclined if you have any pic request of the guitar. Her name is Passion.

I have finally found the OFFICIAL color of my pink strat because of your site. I've had my guitar for 25 years. Thanks a million.
Officially I have a 1987, Fender Stratocaster plus-(USA)-in Dusty Rose. Never knew that until I found this website. I found out a lot here Keep up the good work. Wild horses couldn't get my strat away from me. I've had it since I was 19 yrs old. Looks and plays great. Maple neck, lace golds, sperziel locking tuners with a 2nd generation Wilkinson nut. Whew that was a mouthful.
Thanks again

I have a question: It looks like the finish is rippling under the clear coat on my '96 Jeff Beck strat...vertically with the grain...when I hold it to the light, you can see vertical waves under the clear coat. Can you tell me what it is?
GREAT SITE!!! Love your stuff!
Thanks,
Chris

Hi! Fantastic site for strat plus/ultra lovers. I have a '91 ultra and have been searching for the period-correct case with the lizard-skin looking material. If you or someone on here knows where I can find one, I'd greatly appreciate the information. Thanks!
