Comments: Great site. A gold mine for the Plus series. So many fakes and plain incorrect ID's of this great guitar. To maintain the value of the Plus Series, we all need to jump on the necks of fakers and the 'Bitsa' mob [Bitsa this and Bitsa that and call it a Plus]
Comments: I have a very nice 1987 Fiesta Red Strat Plus in near mint condition. As well as a very early Strat Ultra with highly figured one-piece top and back. It is also unusual because it has factory all gold Lace Sensors, which sound fabulous in all positions.
Thanks!
Rick

Comments: I enjoy reading your insightful pieces and clearly recognize your expertise without being pompous. I appreciate your willingness to respond to questions from non-professionals. That being said, I have a growing collection of Strats from 1987-1989, which includes both American Standards and Strat Pluses. I'm thinking about pursuing a Strat in capri orange. The price tag is somewhat steep and I was hoping you could tell me something about the history and duration of this particular color. Is it worth the effort? Thanks Xhefri for your time. Al
Admin reply: Hey there, Thanks for your kind words about this simple little back yard website. One thing I always detested in the music industry is arrogance. I mean, a guitar is a hunk of wood with some metal wires strapped to it which can make interesting sounds. But there are a lot more important things in life! And then when I played in bands some guy who could sing well, beat the drums like crazy or do a fast guitar solo thought he was a demigod of sorts. Nuts, eh?
Take care and have a Great New Year!

Comments: Lucky to own a 1973 Fender Telecaster Deluxe that I bought from a band member when I was a roadie in 1975. Early 1970's Gibson Blue Ridge Custom acoustic that I bought new and is in like new condition, and a recent purchase of a 2008 Gold Top Gibson Les Paul Std, love my guitars! Great website Xhefri's.
