Comments: I enjoy reading your insightful pieces and clearly recognize your expertise without being pompous. I appreciate your willingness to respond to questions from non-professionals. That being said, I have a growing collection of Strats from 1987-1989, which includes both American Standards and Strat Pluses. I'm thinking about pursuing a Strat in capri orange. The price tag is somewhat steep and I was hoping you could tell me something about the history and duration of this particular color. Is it worth the effort? Thanks Xhefri for your time. Al
Admin reply: Hey there, Thanks for your kind words about this simple little back yard website. One thing I always detested in the music industry is arrogance. I mean, a guitar is a hunk of wood with some metal wires strapped to it which can make interesting sounds. But there are a lot more important things in life! And then when I played in bands some guy who could sing well, beat the drums like crazy or do a fast guitar solo thought he was a demigod of sorts. Nuts, eh?
Take care and have a Great New Year!

Comments: Lucky to own a 1973 Fender Telecaster Deluxe that I bought from a band member when I was a roadie in 1975. Early 1970's Gibson Blue Ridge Custom acoustic that I bought new and is in like new condition, and a recent purchase of a 2008 Gold Top Gibson Les Paul Std, love my guitars! Great website Xhefri's.

Comments: Got my deluxe custom stat plus with the bridge Humbucker; Add an extra switch for all combinationis of tones and its a dream. ! So many sounds, variation that are ez to switch. Far more versatile than the Les Paul and can get all the same sounds and even more with the 4 PU's. Dealing wit Jeff is great. So ez. custom packing and case. It all worked out great with my travels in /out of the country. The guitar made it from the shop to Florida then to Dubai; then on to Saudi. Perfect ! It will next take a journet to Thailand. !. What to get next !!

Admin reply: My Dad was a great guy. I just wish I would have spent more time with him over the years. Then he died in a tragic accident. He was walking in elderly blind lady along a county road went two young men, who are high on drugs and drunk, plowed into them and killed both of them at the same time. I did get some chances to play with him before he died but now I wish I would've taken more time. I was young, and into different kind of music than him. Now I think it would be a blast just to get together and jam, but it's too late...

Comments: Always enjoyed looking through your web site and the amazing things you've found over the years and guitars. I don't see any information on the mahogany FSR strats fender built for MF and GC. Have you had any experience with those?
