Comments: Having just bought an early 1987 Strat Plus from Jeff I must report that this has been the most exiting purchase of a guitar for me in a long time, and I have bought quite a few over the years since about 1969
It would be hard to find such a beautiful instrument which was made nearly 30 years ago in ultra mint condition in a music store
Jeff has an amazing capacity of patiently answering endless questions which I fired at him via e-mail during the week in which which we finalised the transaction.
I must also quote BJ’s line from further down on this page “My wife is always telling me 'you have enough guitars'. As you know, there is no such thing!! : But when this guitar arrived and when she saw and heard it she went all quiet!!!!!
It is interesting to see the number of internet sites including many forums pointing to Jeff’s website as a reference, I would not be surprised if the Fender Company is visiting his site from time to time too for staff training purposes etc.

Comments: Hi Jeff,
Great site! Looks like you have a lot of fun doing this and your guitars are awesome!
I have a 1987 or early 1988 Graffiti Yellow with a maple neck. It has the split nut and the E4 serial number. Its a great player. The low E Sperzel Tuner has been replaced with a Drop D Schaller and the pickguard is cracked and a bit beat up.
My question is do you sell the original Sperzel tuners to replace the low e on mine and would you sell a period correct loaded pickguard with good shape lace sensors as well?
I'd also be interested in your Jeff Beck V1 in Surf Green if you could please send me more details.
Thanks, Gary

Comments: I have had the pleasure of dealing with Jeff a few times. He is a true gentleman and he is great at replying to emails. The knowledge Jeff has about guitars is unbelievable. Eventually I am going to buy one of his custom guitars.
Thanks Jeff for all your support over the years!

Comments: Excellent, exhaustive, and authoritative site, thanks, Jeff!
I discovered I have Schaller, not Sperzel, and Inca Silver, not Pewter.
Still working on the tone * * * against my Mesa model, but getting a fat Boston/Toto sound for my faves.
