Hi, what a great site! I own a lovely hard ash (heavy!!!)87 S/B Plus Deluxe and a 90 wine Deluxe Standard, both rosewood. Converted the DAS to Plus w/locking tuners, tremsetter & pearl pg. The PD has factory blue/silver/red Lace. The DA had the same setup but didn't sound as good due to the softer alder body; I put a gold in the neck and put the blue at the bridge. Nice tele tones now.

I also have a 1987 21 fret rosewood board factory hardtail with 84 Torres neck & body, superbly fast. It has a 35 year old set of SD hot stax with black lace covers. All black hardware (except the tuners), black body with vintage contours. Delightful.

Finally, just got a black 1989 Precision Plus that was abused (frets yanked out w/FB damage) but no body damage. Nice project. I have to figure out the series/parallel switch for the P pickup!

Thanks again for the wonderful site, it's a real inspiration!

Cheers

Great site.... full of good research!
I have an E series Plus with a ruined nut.... Managed to find a replacement but it has no roller pins in it. Suddenly dawned on me it probably needs more than roller pins.... Are there roller spacers over the roller pins to compensate for neck radius? If so, I may have a bigger fix than I first thought..... Thanks

Great site. Very informative. I have a Strat Ultra Plus and I'm looking at changing all the pick ups, wiring and pick guard. I will try the fender vintage noiseless. My question is where can I find a pick guard for the new set up? It will basically be a strat,11 holes but for the ultra. Serial number on the strat is N1 012540. I presently have the lace sensors, with blue, gold and dual Hot gold on the bridge.
Let me know.
Thanks

Great site. I have been looking for a guitar with certain features without realizing that they already existed in the Strat Plus. I've always liked the Gold Lace Sensers, but never liked the necks or the battery hassle with the EC Signature models. I'm wondering what is the difference if any between the Lace Senser Golds and the Red, White and Blues. Keep up the good work. Really helpful, informative and interesting. Thanks for being there.

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen Sperzel locking tuners caps with stars on them? I bought an 87' strat plus with locking Sperzels and I don't believe the locking caps are original because of the stars on top of th cap screw?
