Comments: Let me say howdy from the show-me state and that I have studied you site, and found it fascinating and informative.
I have a question about a Foto Flame I recently traded for. Keep in mind I am an absolute beginer.
My question, after removing the neck supect of the E 41544 serial and Made in USA sticker on the head I found what appears to be a correct date of 5/84 signed by some cat named Many. Now I'm thinking someone must have put this neck on the Foto Flame after the fact, because if I'm correct Foto Flame 62' R.I.'s were only MIJ or CIJ and in the neck socket is stamped ST-62 and then there is a red K in a square like the one stamped on the neck base it's self. There is also a red C stamped on both and a hand written C on both. Everything else looks correct.
This guitar is maybe one of the sweetest sounding guitars I have ever heard, dispite all of the cracks in the finish. What the hell is it?...besides the sweetest sounding guitar I may have ever heard.

Comments: Hi Well i have got to say this is the most informitive website i have ever come accross for the fender plus deluxe. I own an 1989 fender deluxe plus with the red blue and silver lace pickups, and i think the colour is candy cola but not shure, and it has a maple neck.If you would like a few photos of the guitar for your site i could send you some by email. There is an interesting story about this strat i don t know if it is true, but if you know Tom petty maybe you could ask him if it is true or not,The guitar is currently on ebay uk with the full story. .have a look there for the story save me writing all out again.
Regards len hughes

Comments: Great Site, My Love Affare with guitars began in 1960 and since that time I have been fortunate to have owned some wonderful guitars. I also enjoy reading and learning more about guitars from the internet. I find your site to be one of the BEST one's out there. Great information and photos, I hope you keep it running for many years to come. My personal collection is small compared to many of you, only 20 in the serious collection, which contains several Fender's, Gibson's and a couple Mosrites. It may be small but there are some very nice collectables in it.
Anyway keep up the good work, I look forward to any new information you add. Thank you, Tony Johnson, Adwyre Music

Comments: Hi Jeffrey,
I've had this site in my favorites for a couple of years now, and return to it occasionally. Today (11/17/10) is my 59th birthday. On 11/17/91 my wife bought me a Seafoam Green Strat Plus, which is a fantastic guitar. On that day my band played at a local bar, after the first set I was distracted by some friends and when I returned to the bar I was surprized by a b-day cake shaped like a strat with SF green frosting on it. After that when I returned to the stage, my 62 re-issue strat was replaced with my new strat +, I was like a 5 year old on Christmas. The neck date on this guitar is 5-8-88 and the serial # is E475682. If you would like to see some pics of the guitar assembled and dis-assembled let me know and I would be glad to e-mail them to you.
Love the site, Larry Theroux
