I was browsing the area music stores for a guitar that is compatible with the new Roland GR-55. One store had only one in stock a Godin guitar which looked and played O.K. but I didn't want to commit so I checked out another shop (Sherwood Music) and there ,on consignment , was this "Roland Ready"
Strat. N7255584 the only one in their store. Not a mark,ding,scratch dent or visible sign of wear and tear. Love at first lick !! So I took the serial # home and Googled Fender Serial #'s and was directed to your site. DUDE ! Kudo's !
A beautiful, very informative and easy to navigate site. Found that this guitar is from '97 and is immaculate. It was on consignment for $999 and I offered $750. SOLD ! So I ordered a GR-55 and can't wait to pair them up...
Are there lots of these out there or is this some sort of Franken Strat some guy fabbed up ? Curious... Thanks a ton for your valuable info... Gourdo

Hello my name is Charles, I have a strat.sn#488066 it also has the graffiti yellow neck head. The body has a date mar. 08 1988 with the name o.pallares the neck has the date 3-16-88 and the name John Cruz on it. what can you tell me about this guitar ??? also is this one of the custom plus that you are talking about in your article

What an excellent source of definitive information!

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it!), I too am stricken with the uncurable disease, "Collectoritis Maximus". Within my collection of 100+ guitars, I have 2 Fender "Plus" models of interest. An early "E" series Strat Plus and a 1996 Tele Plus. Would it be possible for you to help clarify some questions I have in regard to the Strat Plus? Also, if you would be so kind as to forwarding an email address to which I can send photos, I will send pics of the Strat in question.

I can appreciate the vast amount of time you have dedicated to the research and due diligence of these great guitars and this information will serve myself and others well. Thank you! Gary
